#261 Jack Skellington Turtle

A friend of my daughter saw an interview with Tim Burton a while ago, where he revealed that he considers October 13 to be Jack Skellington's (from Nightmare Before Christmas) birthday because the first time he ever drew Jack it was on October 13th.  So in honour of the occasion I have made a Jack Skellington turtle.

I tried to echo Jack's face on the face of the turtle.

Happy birthday Jack!!!!!!

  3. Thank you. :)
Someone else mentioned The Dark Crystal recently. I think it is a sign that I need to watch it again, and introduce the kids to it!

  4. Hey there!
I just came across your blog clicking through various 365-projects and I'm amazed! There are so many beautiful and inspiring things to discover here - I'll surely be back! :)
And I really love this turtle, especially it's own face. Wonderfully creepy! It's probably my favourite - of those I have already seen... :)
    Keep it up!

Are you going to do this again next year?

  6. Thank you Lena and Barb.

I don't know what I will do next year. I have a couple ideas floating around but nothing solid. I definitely won't be doing exactly the same thing, that is for sure.
